Versatile Blogger Award?!

the-versatile-blogger-award

Thank you so much to remyfool from The Lily Garden for the nomination. Be sure to check out his blog if you like yuri visual novels, anime, and/or manga.

I’ll try my best to live up to this; just started up! I really appreciate it.

7 things about me:

  1. Writing is my absolute favorite thing in the world. I can’t decide what to focus on right now, so aside from anime reviewing, I also do science articles and a bit of satire. I thought I liked fiction and poetry more, but I haven’t gotten to those. For writing, I set apart a couple of hours a day after work at the minimum.
  2. My day job is a science person. Still a student, but no more classes. I’m trying to do materials science (read: science of stuff) experiments inspired by everyday objects and food.
  3. When I was younger, I used to dream a lot about a guy with a pale face who came out of a toothpaste tube.
  4. I can be incredibly awkward. I do all that nervous nervous blush blush forget stammer stuff, and then run away. It’s getting better, though!
  5. I have a very large collection of pig decorations. It’s so large that my aunt, who had volunteered to clean our house because we hosted her for a while, saw the pigs and ran away from my bedroom. Think horror movies with all the creepy dolls, except cuter and lighthearted, but still creepy because there’s a whole army of them. It started way back when in 2003, and though I’ve told people for a while to please stop giving them to me, the collection continues to grow.
  6. My new obsession is Bubble Bobble fuse bead figures, which is what I named the blog after. I hope the name doesn’t become a bad tattoo.
  7. I just ate a handful of corn chips, and I think they’re starting to get stale.

Thank you! Yea, I enjoy materials science! Also that it’s sorta vague and covers everything from plastics to metal. Uh oh. I guess at one point your frogs and my pigs will have to duke it out for world domination.

Is the goal for you to raise an army of bubble bobble fuse head figures to accompany your army of pig decorations?

I am glad you have such a passion for writing. It makes running a blog a lot more fun, no?

The last one was random and I loved it. What kind of corn chip was it?

    Thanks for sharing!

The Bubble Bobbles will be loyal sidekicks, but I will cap the number. I don’t have enough supplies to sustain all of my army. The empire will still rise.

Yea! Definitely 🙂 . I regret that when I was focusing on my classes, I didn’t set aside time for writing. There was definitely time, but I didn’t prioritize effectively. I am in a much better place now. And my boss at my lab is supportive of it and gives me writing assignments to do as well, in addition to the experiments.

It’s called a corn chicharron–a little fried corn ball that looks like a chickpea. Really yummy! My parents just took a trip to the Philippines and sent some back to me. I am trying to eat every last one and am sad that they may be going stale soon.

Aha, so the empire lives on!

I know that feeling of not prioritizing effectively. Well, I’m glad you’re having a lot more opportunities to write these days!
Wow that sounds delicious. It seems like the only thing left to do is eat all of them. Maybe try combining them with a few other ingredients to create some lazy snacks for you to binge on.

Doopdoop. I’ll just, uh, go off to the side here. Totally no plans of world domination. Disregard any comments about pigs and/or frogs in the other comments.

Yea! I don’t feel as jaded. Or maybe that’s because I already am jaded…

I didn’t think of combining them with other stuff. Great idea; will try that soon! Thanks!
